WHAT IS BAPTISM?

Christian baptism is a symbolic act that represent the new life one has found in following Jesus. It symbolizes the washing away of an old way of life. 

• Baptism symbolizes new birth into a life with Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 6:4)

• It represents the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the new believer. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Colossians 2:12)

• Christian baptism is the outward sign of an inward change.

• Baptism is an act of obedience, (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:21; Acts 10:47-48)

We encourage anyone who has chosen to follow Jesus Christ and accepted Him as their Lord and Savior to be baptized. This is a significant event in your life, it is a formal profession of faith (Matthew 10:32-33) and it is important that your church family celebrate your new life with you.
